Asteroid - II

so this album is far from new, but i figured i'd throw it up on here because as far as fuzz/stoner/desert rock whatever you wanna call it is concerned these guys kick dicks. the second album from asteroid in my opinion, is much better than the first. they had a personnel change and it definitely took them in a better direction for sure. so enjoy and i'll do my best to get you guys more new stuff soon. i've been super busy and hockey play offs are on so yea, been occupied with that.

grab your shovels, because you're gonna dig this shit for sure!

Clamfight, these guys rock

so i totally forgot about these guys until some of my friends on facespace had posted about them. definitely check them out. they're actually playing in my area (delaware) this weekend. so if you're in the region you should try to make it to claymont delaware, which is near wilmington, and check them out. below is their bandcamp site. i think they're pretty diesel.

enjoy!

Bushfire - Black Ash Sunday 2010

ok ladies and germs and other kinds of humanoids. this album, like the previous post, is not new. but this album rocks so so so so good! this one was kinda like Supershine, the rewster was playing it one day at work and i was like huh i gotta check these guys out and sure enough this album rocks the mother lovin house!!!!!! so definitely pick up a copy of this and of course support all the bands i post here because its a business and how a lot of these guys make a living for their families, so hook them up with a few bones whenever you can!

ps, remember guys, if you run across any broken links, let me know and i'll do my damnedest to get it back up and running. so help me help you and we'll all make the internet a better place. just send a little quick email with the page url and i'll take it from there, just ctrl+c and then ctrl+v that botch into an email, doesn't even have to have a subject line, and shoot that mother trucker my way and like i said i'll do what i can to fix it. alrighty? alrighty. have a good one guys!

oh also, if you live around the shit state of new jersey, go to atlantic city tomorrow night and see clutch with the rewster, his son, and myself! its going to be so diesel, i'm not sure if i'll survive the anticipation and excitement!

Supershine self titled 2005

so this isn't new, obviously because it says 2005 just above in the title. but it is a jammin album that you should add to your collection. definitely a great album, nice and stonerish/desert rock laced with some heavier grooves! so good, i promise it wont disappoint.

Clutch! Tommorow! The Rewster, His Son Kevin, and of course, glorious ME!!!!

so the mayhem and rewster show is going on the road again, this time we're hitting up the house of blues in atlantic city, new jersey! if you get the chance get some tickets, now! and come up to the show! if you end up going, comment on this post and we'll figure out a way to find each other and say hello. i really dig meeting new people! and if you aren't going, which is lame and there's no excuse for that, i'll have lots of pictures and videos to post, my personal facespace page will have pretty much live updates, which means lots of pictures and videos of the chaos crew all mangled and having a blast! so stay tuned to my facebook and this awesomeness that is my blog. its going to be so much fucking fun! i'm so stoked and excited!

also, as a side bar, i'm about to post some Bushfire and some Supershine. neither album is new but they both rock so good, both bands have mastered the stone groove and heavinessesesses. so check them out when i post them!

Sweat Lodge self titled

so yeoldstinkeye posted this over at a distant rumble, which if you haven't checked them out go, links in the name, they know what their talking about over there. but yea sweat lodge's self titled ep was posted up and i gave it a listen, can't hurt right, na. and i was like this is pretty jammin nice slower kinda riffage, bluesier i guess you could say. but then the last track (tokens for hell) just blew doors for so many reasons, just a fantastic track, with great work all around. so great job guys, check out their bandcamp and you can listen to it and get a copy for free, which is hard to come by these days.

also a note about dead links, please take 2 seconds to send an email with just the page link of my blog if a link is dead, i'll fix it if i can. or i'll put it on my list of shit to do. but anyway check these guys out they're good, unwashed, fun!

side bar real quick

thanks for the comments and emails and everything btw people. i really appreciate it. keep sending me stuff for sure. so thanks again and enjoy all the internet has to offer while it lasts because its quickly going away.

again thanks!

Ufesas 2011 self titled

correct album art will be up shortly, blogger is having a bad day or something

a little south of the well equator stoner from the rewster this time around. he brought this to my attention and it's been in regular play ever since because its awesome. he did bring up the one draw back about this great band from Uruguay, this album is too damn short! so these guys need to keep up the great work because i'd love to see more from them. definitely pick up a copy and, well see them, unfortunately if dozer can't get a lift to the east coast of the US then i'm thinkin these guys aren't comin to my local dive, but hey crazier things have happened. alright check it out and enjoy the awesome stone groove these guys lay out for ya!

Mustasch - Sounds Like Hell, Looks Like Heaven

so for their release from back in february of this foul year of lord 2012 i have a huge thumbs up for the guys of Mustasch! they put in some serious work and have cranked up the heavy metal knob for sure. not that the rest of their catalogue is bad by any means, its just that this one is definitely a great edition, sorry i was so late getting it posted. so anyway, check it out and check them out if you're lucky enough to live in sweden, denmark or the areas they tour because we aren't seeing these guys on the east coast of the US for a while.

Shock Radar - Generator EP

so i have to apologize to Lee from Shock Radar for taking forever and a day to post his band's stuff. he was good enough to send me an email so i gave them a listen and i think its pretty groovis stuff. you get hit with like vox that are make you think chris cornell jumped on the track and then some of the vox reminds me of the singer of the french stoner band mars red sky while all the time being hit with great drums and guitars that just keep driving the music along. great job guys. check them out on bandcamp and throw them a few sheckels, or go see them and grab my link below that.

Tuco Ramirez 2 track tuesday

so i think they found this somewhere, not really 'official' album art as far as i can tell but hey whatever, its on their bandcamp site so dig it i guess.

so these guys are pretty jammin. one of the guitarists actually played in a band called curse the son which i had previously reviewed on this blog. check out that offering (link in the name). but these guys are a little different. check them out. i think they're pretty jammin. you can download both tracks they have posted on bandcamp. (because i'm too lazy to do it for you)

Earthride - Earthride

not new but i was listening to their self titled track from their self titled album and figured i'd share the heavinessess. so definitely pick it up if you dont have it. they where fun to see on new years in philly at the clutch show for sure. so enjoy and have a good one.

Stubb - Stubb

so this was a band that my good buddy the rewster sent my way. Stubb is a band from the UK on Superhot Records. this band knows how to throw down some serious fuzz-tastic-awesomeness! i listen to lots of music on almost a daily basis, and this band was one of the first in a long while that really blew my hair back. these guy's have figured out the great formula, and best of all this album is available on bandcamp, as a name your price album. so i'll put the link for the bandcamp, which you could throw them some bones if you can afford it. i'm also going to include a link to my mediafire account so you can grab it from there as well. either way grab your shovels because i promise you're going to dig it!!!!!! again if you can help these guys and all the bands on this blog please do so, especially if you can see them live, because who doesn't love a good live show!? alright enjoy and stay tuned for more stuff from the rewster that'll be up shortly. and header art will be changed out shortly as well. or when i get around to it.

thanks kids.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

alright so this is going to be short again because i'm even more tired than the bronson post. so anyway yea these guys kick ass. yeolstinky pinky eye sent me this bastard. his secret weapon was to give you pink eye and wait for that bitch to sting like a bastard. but anyway dig this one, its my links. so anyway, have fun, these guys kick dicks in and then take your name just to add insult to injury. oh we..

Bronson - For Every Action, There's a Jackson

ok so check it out here kidieos. i have been lookin for this album for some time, of course i couldn't find it and the site that it was on, the swamp, god rest their souls. however some of those peoples apparently follow my blog and i really appreciate it. i also have to credit my buddy the rewster because he actually grabbed this off soulseek this past thursday night but i've just been way way way too lazy to get on here and actually post something. so you both get credit yeoldstinkeye and mr rewster. thanks to both of you and everyone else who pitched in. there will be more music coming with reviews album art, whatever.

alright i'm tired so that's all probably mangled.

ok, what the fuck ever.

so apparently the label, i'm assuming the label because i dont wanna go off and say the dude's in tracer are jerks but apparently they didnt like me getting their music out to a shit ton of people, all over the fucking world. so feel free to launch some nasty emails at Tracer's label and ask them why they dont want their band's music to be heard. we all know that bands dont make shit from album sales its touring and myself and my friends and i'm sure everyone that hits up this blog and others is a big supporter whenever they can however they can. so whatever.

thanks for fucking off in advance tracer's label,

What the Blood Revealed

here's some pretty diesel stoner from scotland. it definitely reminds me of maybe some nebula or something along those lines. these guys know their way around a guitar for sure. very nice riffage with some awesome atmospheric work and then it breaks into some heaviness. so definitely check them out. a couple links below, one is for their bandcamp which you can support these guys by dropping a few sheckles in their hats through that site and of course there are a couple links below for their 2 ep's via mediafire. so if you dig them head on over to their bandcamp and hook them up with some of your hard earned scratch. have a good one. and thanks to ridin with the devil for postin the mediafire links.

Orange Goblin - A Eulogy for the Damned

Cosmonauts Day - Paths of The Restless

first of all, sorry i've been so lazy, just haven't been feeling up to sorting through music and what not lately but now i do. so these guys where good enough to send me an email so i'll post their spaced out russian jams for you guys to enjoy. some of the riffage is a little different but its definitely some great tunage for sure. check out the links below and as always try to support all the bands that i post here. stay tuned for more, i have material from other bands that i need to post, sorry for taking so long guys, it is all appreciated!

also, you can probably see i added the sopa badge to this site, its not that i believe muscians shouldn't make money off their work, but that whole thing is a witch hunt and i'd stick it to anyone who's in a position of power like that trying to smash a dumb ass bill like that thru and states on camera that they dont know what the bill is about and that they need to get some nerds in their to explain it, well they can go to hell twice. by nerds do you mean people that are obviously smarter than you, this country is in such a bad way, holy tap dancing christ!

New Years Clutch Show Review and Ancillaries

it may be kinda hard to read that but here's the set list the clutch played on new years, btw it was an amazing show!

oh also there where a bunch of encore songs, and they where......
Cypress Grove
Big News I
Soapmakers
Burning Beard

the show poster pretty diesel!

and some assorted pictures and videos from people i know who where there and also people that where near where we were standing. the awesome picture of clutch on stage taken from the balcony was from a buddy of mine which i grabbed it off his facespace because my phone is fucked and i didn't take a camera. and the video below is taken from the sound booth that was like 15 feet behind us, which at the troc that's a lot of distance, pretty small place honestly.

oh a note about this, ^, link, go to it and watch the video and there are a ton of other videos from that new years eve show. it was an awesome set by clutch for sure!

oh also apparently this chick i almost got into a rumble with was really bothering someone else according to my buddy there was a post on clutch's message board about how some 'crack head' chick was bothering people trying to be a tough guy. and then she got her hefty ass tossed from that bitch, good job!

so as far as a review goes i think its pretty obvious that clutch was one of the most amazing bands i've ever seen live. they where on top of their game and just a blast. as far as the other bands go, earthride was fun to see, my buddy said they looked and sounded like they've been on the couch for the past 20 years or so but i think they where pretty fun still to see live. kyng was good, they're kinda like clutch lite, or they try to be, but they where enjoyable to watch as well, both the singer/guitarist and the bassist where fun to watch and their drummer especially was one heavy handed bastard with some strange but very interesting technique. and finally we come to COC,w/o pepper, uh yea, i'm sure they're nice guys and all but i was about done with them about a dozen songs into their set. they where like a movie that had a million endings and never stopped, ugh. but clutch made up for it, the place almost tore itself apart but clutch made up for it most definitely!

there rewster, ya happy, ya browbeat me into it and now its done, lol.

Diablo Strange EP

so i've been extremely busy and lazy at the same time lately. sorry for not bringing the awesome. i'll try, well not harder, but i'll try. but anyway, dig on some of this fun stoner/blues rock. you can pick up the 2 track ep from these guys at their band camp which i've provided below. they're pretty diesel to my ears because they'd be one of those bands you'd go see and have a ton of fun and probably smell like beer, sweat and probably piss a little too. so all in all it'd be a fun time. check em' out.

Monday, January 2, 2012

oh also

CLUTCH WAS FUCKING AMAZING ON NEW YEARS IN PHILLY! holy shit what a fun time! i'll stop being lazy for a minute and post the set list (a picture of it) and video and photos and all that stuff. it was awesome! see them if you have a chance, at all costs!

YO HELP ME OUT!

alright so there was this band that was posted on the sludge swamp called the del rios out of pittsburg pa and it was a live recording but it was diesel as shit and the singer was this awesome chick who could really kill some ac/dc tunage but i fuckin lost it so help me out my droogies. now fly my pretties fly! and bring me that fuckin album or contact with the band.
